This suit was filed after the former Deputy Minister demanded that the Commissioner retract her statements lest be sued.

Mrs. Pauline Dadzawa is reported to have said, in an audio circulating on social media, that the Mr. Ofosu Kwakye took six million dollars out of twelve million dollars given to him to give to the Electoral Commission through Mrs. Charlotte Osei, before the 2016 elections.

According to the former Deputy Minister, the claims made by Mrs. Dadzawa are false, baseless, malicious and a figment of her obviously fertile imagination and that he, at no time before, during or after the 2016 elections, was he given money by anyone for the purpose described by her.
