Mr. Thomas Kofi Owusu, a 56 year-old block factory owner who has been charged with two counts of murder of his wife and son and a count of causing harm has told the court that he is unable to sleep.

This was after the presiding judge, Justice Worlayo Kotoku asked him how he was doing.

The Accused told the court “I am still unable to sleep.”

The Accused had undergone a psychological examination on the orders of the court following his assertion of his inability to sleep.

The court had earlier  directed the Police to make available Owusu’s medical records to the court.

The Prosecutor, Chief Inspector Apiorsornu, prayed the court for an adjournment since the psychological examination report was not ready.

The case has been adjourned to 14th November 2017.

Owusu is alleged to have smashed the heads of the deceased and her son with a hoe several times following a misunderstanding after which he reported himself to the Police at Amasaman in October 2016. His plea has been reserved.
