An Accra Magistrate Court presided over by Her Worship Gloria Laryea is yet to decide whether Dr. Lawrence Edusei, the pathologist who conducted an autopsy on the late J. B Danquah (former MP for Abuakwa North), will be cited for contempt for refusing to appear in court when witness summons was served on him.

According to the Judge, the pathologist has filed the autopsy report of the late J.B. Danquah but was to be physically present in court.

Dr. Lawrence Edusei was served witness summons at the last hearing to appear in court and explain why the autopsy report was not ready.

Nana Obiri Boahen, a lawyer and Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, who was watching brief, expressed anger saying that the pathologist had shown gross disrespect to the court by refusing to appear before court, and had also shown professional negligence.

The presiding judge ordered that the report be forwarded to the detective in charge of the case, Detective Chief Inspector Augustus Nkrumah, for the necessary actions to be taken.

The case has been adjourned to 15th March, 2018.
