Court adjourns case of Chinese illegal miners

An Accra High Court presided over by His Lordship, Justice Charles Edward Ekow Baiden has adjourned the case involving Aisha Huang and four others namely, Gao Jin Cheng, Lu Qi Jun, Habin Gao and Zang Pan.

This was after the State Attorney, Mercy Arthur said that the final prosecution witness, the police investigator, who is to testify, is presently engaged at the Police College.

At the last adjournment, the said investigator was absent in court because he was said to be writing examinations.

The case has been adjourned to 17th October, 2018.

Aisha has been charged with three counts of illegally undertaking small-scale mining operations, providing mining support services without valid registration with the Minerals Commission, and the illegal employment of foreign nationals.
