Lawyer sentenced to 7 years imprisonment

An Accra Circuit Court presided over by Her Honour, Mrs. Malike Woanyah-Dey has sentenced a lawyer, Dominic Owusu Sekyere and one Albert Kwadwo Coleman alias Samuel Yeboah, Marketing Officer to 7 years and 5 years imprisonment respectively.

Dominic Owusu Sekyere (2nd Accused) and Albert Kwadwo Coleman (1st Accused) had been charged with conspiracy to commit crime to wit fraud and fraud.

The 1st Accused was found guilty on both counts and sentenced to 5 years on each count to run concurrently.

The 2nd Accused, Dominic Owusu Sekyere was sentenced to 5 years and 7 years on the counts of conspiracy and defrauding by false pretences respectively, to run concurrently.

The court has ordered that all the monies taken from the Complainant by the Accused persons, be paid back to the Complainant.

Two others John Arthur and Dr. Jennifer Jane- Brown Aryee are at large.
