Judicial service prohibits use of electronic devices in court

Management of the Judicial Service has prohibited the use of mobile phones, recorders, tablets, cameras and other electronic devices in the Court room.

In a statement signed by the Judicial Secretary, Management of the Judicial Service has decided that Court Users are to put off their mobile phones, recorders, tablets and cameras before they enter the Court room.

Management of the Judicial Service has ordered that Court Users should not use mobile phones, recorders, tablets and cameras or other electronic devices to record court proceedings or take pictures in court or of any court document without the permission of the Judicial Secretary.

The Judicial Service called on all Judges, Magistrates and Registrars to ensure that Court Users comply with the directives mentioned above, with immediate effect.
